Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility Criteria for NEET UG
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed 10+2 examination or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as core subjects.
- Minimum Marks: General category candidates need at least 50% aggregate in PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology); 40% for SC/ST/OBC; and 45% for PwD candidates in General category.
- Age Limit: Minimum age is 17 years as of December 31 of the exam year. Maximum age limit is 25 years for general category and 30 years for reserved categories (as per prevailing regulations, subject to updates).
- Nationality: Indian Nationals, NRIs, OCIs, PIOs, and Foreign Nationals are eligible to apply.

- Mode of Exam: Pen and Paper-Based Test (Offline)
- Number of Questions: 180 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
- Subjects covered: Physics (45 questions), Chemistry (45 questions), Biology (Botany and Zoology) (90 questions)
- Marking Scheme: Each correct answer carries 4 marks; 1 mark is deducted for each incorrect answer; no marks for unattempted questions.
- Duration: 3 hours (180 minutes)
- Exam Schedule: Generally conducted once a year in May, with official notification released typically in December or January of the preceding year.

NEET UG Syllabus
The syllabus for NEET UG is as prescribed by the Medical Council of India and is based on topics covered in Class 11 and 12 under CBSE curriculum. Major subjects include:
- Physics: Physical world and Measurement, Kinematics, Laws of Motion, Work, Energy and Power, Motion of System of Particles and Rigid Body, Gravitation, Properties of Bulk Matter, Thermodynamics, Behaviour of Perfect Gas and Kinetic Theory, Oscillations and Waves.
- Chemistry: Some Basic Concepts of Chemistry, Structure of Atom, Classification of Elements and Periodicity in Properties, Chemical Bonding and Molecular Structure, States of Matter: Gases and Liquids, Thermodynamics, Equilibrium, Redox Reactions, Hydrogen, The s-Block Element, The p-Block Element, The d- and f-Block Elements, The Coordination Compounds, Organic Chemistry – Some Basic Principles and Techniques, Hydrocarbons, Environmental Chemistry.
- Biology: Diversity of Living Organisms, Structural Organisation in Animals and Plants, Cell Structure and Function, Plant Physiology, Human Physiology, Reproduction, Genetics and Evolution, Biology and Human Welfare, Biotechnology and Its Applications, Ecology and Environment.

Application Process
- Visit the official website https://neet.nta.nic.in.
- Register by providing basic details and creating a password.
- Fill in the application form with personal, educational, and contact details.
- Upload scanned images of photograph, signature, and other documents as per specified formats.
- Pay the application fee online through net banking, credit/debit card or UPI.
- Submit the application form and take a printout for future reference.

Admit Card

- Results are declared on the official website generally within a month of the exam date.
