Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects from a recognized board.
- Minimum Marks: Generally, a minimum of 50% aggregate in PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) is required, but it may vary slightly each year.
- Age Limit: There is typically no upper age limit, but candidates should have completed 17 years of age by the 31st December of the year of admission.
- Nationality: Open to Indian nationals as well as foreign nationals. NRIs can also apply under a separate quota.

- Mode of Exam: Online Computer-Based Test (CBT)
- Number of Questions: Usually 105 questions divided among subjects.
- Subjects Covered: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and optionally Biology for some programs.

- Duration: 2 hours 30 minutes approximately.

- Mathematics: Sets, Relations and Functions, Complex Numbers and Quadratic Equations, Matrices and Determinants, Permutations and Combinations, Mathematical Induction, Binomial Theorem and its Applications, Sequences and Series, Limit, Continuity and Differentiability, Integral Calculus, Differential Equations, Coordinate Geometry, Three Dimensional Geometry, Vector Algebra, Statistics and Probability, Trigonometry.
- Biology (Optional): Diversity of Living Organisms, Structural Organisation in Animals and Plants, Cell Structure and Function, Plant Physiology, Human Physiology, Reproduction, Genetics and Evolution, Biology and Human Welfare, Biotechnology and its Applications, Ecology and Environment.
