Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility Criteria for GPAT

  • Educational Qualification: Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) from a recognized university or institute.
  • Nationality: Indian nationals are eligible. Foreign nationals can also apply but must have equivalence certificate from AIU (Association of Indian Universities).
  • Age Limit: There is no age limit to appear for GPAT.

  • Number of Questions: 125 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
  • Marking Scheme: Each question carries 4 marks; 1 mark is deducted for each wrong answer.

GPAT Syllabus

  • Pharmaceutical Chemistry: Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry.
  • Pharmacology: General Pharmacology, Systemic Pharmacology including Autonomic, CNS, CVS, Respiratory and other systems.
  • Pharmaceutics: Dosage forms, Pharmaceutical Technology, Physical Pharmacy, Biopharmaceutics and Pharmacokinetics.
  • Pharmacognosy: Natural products, Phytochemistry, Herbal Drug Technology.
  • Pharmaceutical Analysis: Instrumental methods of analysis, Chemical analysis, Quality control.
  • Biotechnology: Basic concepts, Genetic Engineering, Microbiology related to pharmacy.
  • Miscellaneous: Pharmaceutical Jurisprudence, Biochemistry, Clinical Pharmacy and Drug Store Management.

  6. Submit the application form and take a printout for future reference.
