- Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed 10+2 examination or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology from a recognized board. For BITS Pilani, a minimum aggregate of 75% marks in PCM or PCB (if applying for B.Pharm) is generally required.

The BITSAT syllabus is based on the NCERT syllabus for 11th and 12th standards covering the following subjects:
- Physics: Mechanics, Thermal Physics, Electricity and Magnetism, Optics, Modern Physics, Waves, and other key 11th and 12th topics.
- Chemistry: Physical, Organic, and Inorganic Chemistry topics as per NCERT 11th and 12th syllabus, including Chemical Bonding, Thermodynamics, Equilibrium, Electrochemistry, Coordination Compounds, etc.
- Mathematics: Algebra, Calculus, Coordinate Geometry, Trigonometry, Vector Algebra, Probability, and other 11th and 12th level mathematical concepts.
- Biology: Only for B.Pharm applicants, topics include Cell Biology, Genetics, Human Physiology, Plant Physiology, Biotechnology, Ecology, etc.
- English Proficiency and Logical Reasoning: Grammar, Vocabulary, Reading Comprehension, Analytical Reasoning, and Logical Deduction.
