The
Central University of Gujarat has been established by the Parliament
vide the Central University Act, 2009 (No.25 of 2009) with objective of
dissemination and advancement of knowledge to make special provisions
for integrated courses, to educate and train manpower for the
development of the country, to appropriate measure for promoting
innovation in teaching-learning and to pay special attention to the
improvement of social and economic conditions and welfare of the
people, their intellectual, academic and cultural development
The
Central University of Gujarat came into being from 3rd March 2009. Her
Excellency, Shrimati Pratibha Patil appointed Professor Raosaheb K
Kale, who has long experience in teaching & made a original
contribution in the field of Cancer and Radiation Biology as well as in
university administrator, as the first Vice-Chancellor.

A Demand Draft favouring “Central University of Gujarat, Gandhinagar” payable at ‘Central Bank of India’ or any other nationalized/scheduled bank at Gandhinagar Branch should accompany the application form.
Fee Structure
Low fee structure for inaugural batch for the year 2009-2010.
Financial Assistance
Limited
financial assistance in the form of Merit-cum-means scholarships
/Fellowships/Freeships/Fee-Concessions would be available for the
deserving and needy candidates.

For - Master of Arts (MA) (5 year Integrated) {Specialization: Society and Management}, Master of Arts (MA) (5 year Integrated) {Specialization: Politics and Governance}
For
5 years Integrated MA in Politics and Governance/MA in Society and
Development, the candidate should have minimum 55% marks at 12th Standard.
Note 1: The
candidate who has cleared the NET examination need not appear for the
entrance test. They would be called directly for the interview.
However, those who wish to appear for the entrance test they can also
do so.
Note 2:
All SC, ST and Physically Challenged (Handicapped) candidates who have
passed Standard 12th in the qualifying examination are eligible to
appear in the entrance examination irrespective of their percentage of
marks
For OTHERS - Master
degree in respective field with at least 55% marks. The candidate with
post graduate degree (with 55% marks) in other subjects could also
apply.

Instructions : In
case of emergency/crisis, on giving undertaking the candidate would be
permitted to appear for the examination at any examination center other
than his/her allotted one. If Admit Card is lost or could not receive
in time, the candidate would be permitted to appear for the examination
by proving his/her identity, giving undertaking and two photographs.
Reservations : 15%, 7.5% and 27% seats are reserved for SC, ST and OBC candidates respectively as per reservation policy of Government of India
