Notice of admission to Bachelor of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry Course (B.V.Sc. & A.H.)
in West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences for the
academic session 2011-12 through Joint Entrance Test – 2011 to be
conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board.
A written test will be conducted in Paper – I : Biological Sciences – 100 marks Paper – II : Physics & Chemistry – 100 marks. Questions will be of MCQ type
(a) Candidates must be citizens of India and have attained 17 years of age as on 1st July, 2011. There is no upper age limit.
(b) Educational Qualification : General Candidates
must have passed H.S. (10+2) Examination of West Bengal Council of
Higher Secondary Education or equivalent examination recognized by the
West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences with individual
pass marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English and Vernacular (or
any other fifth subject) along with a minimum of 50% marks in Physics,
Chemistry and Biology taken together in the said qualifying examination
(10+2). In respect of SC and ST candidates the aforesaid marks will be
40% instead of 50%. The candidates appearing in (10+2) Examination,
2011 and subsequently fulfilling the above criteria are also eligible
to appear in EVETS-2011.
Residential Criteria : Candidates
must have been residing in the State of West Bengal uninterruptedly for
a minimum period of 10 (ten) years as on 31.12.2010 or their parents
must be permanent residents of West Bengal having their permanent home
addresses in the State of West Bengal.
Reservation :: Reservation for SC/ST / PC (Physically Challenged) candidates will be as per State Government rules.
